Radar

An undercover project I led and designed for major telecom operators, giving technical teams insight into problems across calling, data and SMS. Four months from first meeting to launch, spanning KPI analysis, a web app and an Android field app.

Radar: a telecom analytics dashboard turning server data into a readable trend

The challenge

The client's technical team was drowning in server data, but the existing system was too cluttered to surface the insights they needed. The platform had to show the right metrics, with precise logic, on a dashboard used by tech managers at major telecom companies.

It spanned two devices with two very different jobs: a mobile app for field operators collecting system information on site, and a web app for remote technical authorities monitoring issues and keeping services healthy.

Decoding the complexity

This was a new sector for me, and in the first meeting I did not know the terminology. I scheduled extra sessions to learn the product language, the technical nomenclature and how the system actually worked, until I could speak telecom fluently.

The core output was decision-making insight, and that analysis sat squarely in my hands. I led the work to identify KPIs, evolve the UI and UX, and translate raw exports into plots and logic a manager could act on.

Exported chaos, resolved into a plot a technical manager can read at a glance.
The win was not a prettier dashboard. It was turning exported chaos into a handful of signals a technical manager could trust and act on.
